Early Years
Caring for children is important work. TAIBU seeks to provide accessible models of early years programs that support and maintain stable families and healthy children development.
Program
- Child Minding Training: sets a foundation for participants to take Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Early Childhood Assistant (ECA) courses at a college level. Participants receive a certificate, enhance their employability as a Child-minder as well as obtain the skills needed to run a home-daycare businesses.
- Peer Nutrition Program: provides culturally and linguistically appropriate nutrition education, parenting, and health and wellness issues to parents, grandparents and caregivers of children aged six months to six years.
- Ready, Set, Go! is a preschool and family transition program focusing on 3 – 5 year olds. This two-week program supports children in developing the necessary social skills required for kindergarten while providing appropriate referrals to families in need of more support.
- Mother Goose: provides a group experience for parents, their babies and young children to gain skills and confidence, to create positive family patterns, and give healthy early experiences with language and communication.
- Parents & Toddlers’ Movie: is a monthly program that is hosted at Malvern Library for parents and children aged 0 – 6 years old. Participants can enjoy family friendly movie and socialize in a causal setting, engaging in discussions and reflections about topics of interest reflected in the movie.
